Lao Zi Academy Announces the Successful Completion of Year-end On-line Meet-up with Master Wang Liping.

As part of its ongoing efforts to introduce the traditional Chinese Taoism culture and health cultivation practice to the western world, Lao Zi Academy successfully organized a year-end on-line meet-up session with Master Wang Liping on December 25, 2010.  This  online meet-up is overlapping with  Master Wang Liping’s onsite 10 days private  training retreat (organized by Lao Zi Academy). This completes our 2010 series of events including Master Wang's public or private teaching classes, Dragon Gate retreat in USA and on-line meet-up sessions.

We received lots of interest and active participation in the on-line meet-up session.  A number of participants scattered across Canada and USA joined this session.  Master Wang Liping and Kathy Li (Master Wang’s authorized disciple and teacher) hosted the event in Dalian, China.  The students and Master Wang greeted Merry Christmas and New Year wishes to each other, after which Master Wang took time to answer questions from every single participant.   Some of the questions raised at the session include:

• Is Dragon Gate practice compatible with Buddhist practice?
• Is it necessary to achieve full lotus sitting in order to advance in your system?
• What can a middle-aged person expect to achieve from practicing the Ling Bao Tong Intelligent Internal Alchemy Arts taught by Master Wang?
• Does the blood drive and Qi, or the Qi drive the blood?
• What is Master Wang’s opinion on standing practice;
• I found myself having almost no breathing in deep practice, is this strange or normal?
• Who are Master Wang’s authorized disciples to teach ?

While we had participants ranging from new comers to veterans who have followed Master Wang for a number of years, all of them were very excited to have the opportunity to speak with Master Wang directly and seek his guidance on Taoism theories or practice.  At the end of the session, Master Wang thanked everyone for joining the session and invited them to meet him in person and participate in the events authorized by him.  Dr. Sun and Mr. Liao on behalf of Lao Zi Academy, thanked everyone for their participation, reiterated the Academy’s commitment to promote the global awareness of Chinese Taoism culture and wisdom, and invited everybody to continue to support the Lao Zi Academy.

     With the new year’s coming, in response to the active appeal of many worldwide individuals who are interested in the study and propagation of ancient Chinese Taoism culture. From Dec.22, 2010 to Dec. 31, 2011,  Mater Wang Liping will have a private  training retreat (organized by Lao Zi Academy) in Dalian with foreign students for teaching Ling-bao Intelligence Internal-art Techniques. Meanwhile, Lao Zi Academy will organize an online meet-up for practitioners all over the world in order to share the cultivation experience and answer the questions which are related to Taoism cultivation and ancient Taoism classical works .

       To Promote the exchange and dialogue of Chinese and Western cultures, and enhance global awareness of the ancient Chinese civilization, all questions will be focused on Taoists cultivation experience, phenomena appeared during Taoists practice and Taoism culture, but not cover any political issues and disputes.  The time of the meet-up is temporarily scheduled to be Dec. 25, 2010  (7:00-8:00 AM USA Eastern time, morning in North America, evening in China, afternoon in Europe) or any other date between Dec. 22 and 30, 2010. The number of attendants will be limited to 10 persons. If too many attendants will join, another round one-hour meet-up will be arranged in this time frame (Dec.22 -- 31, 2010).

Agenda for this Meet-up

1st 10 minutes: Kathy opens the group calling, waiting and introduce everyone.

2st 10 minutes: Longmen_Dao speaks to all, 5 minutes, topics are about USA retreat, facebook etc.  Richard speaks to all, 5 minutes, topics are about Dec. Master Wang's China training, etc..

3rd 10 minutes: Penner asks questions, 5 minutes.   Lynch  asks questions, 5 minutes.

4th 10 minutes: Meyerowitz asks questions, 5 minutes.  Coleman  asks questions, 5 minutes.

5th 10 minutes: Wight asks questions, 5 minutes.  Kathy summarize questions 5 minutes.

6th 10 minutes: Each one freely speak about 1 minutes, and freely discussion. Kathy speaks to all on behalf of Lao Zi Academy and Master Wang (Master Wang is traveling out of town, he is unable to directly speak to us) .

*Taoism mountain visiting*

On October 23 (a full-moon day), Lao Zi Academy, in collaboration with Grand Master Wang Liping's students Wu-Xin and Meng-Die in Jinhua city (http://blog.sina.com.cn/wx20090915) , successfully organized a Taoism mountain visiting to the Taoism historical area -- the Taoism 36th Dong Tian (Celestial Cave).  The 2 celestial caves (Double Dragon Cave and Chao-Zhen Caves) are the original practicing and enlightening place of two Taoist immortals -- Huang ChuPing and Huang ChuQi.  Taoist ancestor Lu DongBin also came to these caves three times for practice.

 We successfully hold the 1st and 2nd Dragon Gate Taoists Retreat in USA in 2009 and 2010. Taoist Master Wang Liping met with all students and taught them online. Some of these students were selected to accept further intensive private training with Master Wang Liping.

 

We introduced numerous  Western students to Taoist Master Wang Liping, who is 18th generation Transmitter of the Dragon Gate Taoism 龙门派 branch of Complete Reality Taoism(Quanzhen School全真派). Updated pictures are following.
